 Point of Decision

Some decisions we make are of only momentary importance. Other decisions may have an impact that lasts for years, or even for the rest of our life. The decision to trust Jesus Christ will have eternal consequences. What we do with Christ determines whether we spend our eternity in heaven or hell. This is a decision of faith. It is a decision which each person must make for himself. God loves each one of us and has prepared a heaven that is waiting should we humble our heart and seek His mercy. God will also let us walk away if that is what we want to do. We have the freedom to accept or decline God's offer of forgiveness and eternal life. However, once death seals whatever our decision has been, we will either be eternally glad or we will look back with eternal regret.

“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:34-37)

If the Holy Spirit has been convicting your heart about the truth of the gospel message and you want to trust Jesus Christ right now as your Savior, then why not just bow your head and tell the Lord. Prayer is like talking -- but you are talking to God. He hears the words we speak and he also knows the thoughts behind those words. Just be honest with the Lord about your sin and your failure. Be honest about your hurt and your need. Let him know you are transferring your trust to Him and you want Him to forgive you because of what Jesus has already done for you on the cross. If you come to Jesus by faith you will not be turned away. Listen to this incredible promise from Jesus:

“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:37-40)
If you have just trusted the Lord Jesus as your Savior, have questions about doing so, or would like more information, please leave your name and contact information. I have some additional information I would love to send you to help you to grow spiritually in your new life for Christ.
